Only "popular" fat dudes I've ever seen were jestermaxxers, and they weren't really popular just living jokes for the people around them. Never seen a good looking guy with a bad social life ever. I'm not exactly a shutin, I'm out quite a bit (or used to be until the corona stuff happened). Ugly dudes would just have friend groups of other ugly people, while chads would often be friends with loads of chads. Ugly dudes that were friends with chads you could always tell were generally viewed as the lesser friends.

I mean do you yourself struggle with maintaining eye contact and things of the sort? And I mean not to the degree that a typical male does cause almost nobody makes strong eye contact, but to the point where it causes you extreme distress and you pretty much cannot do it at all?

You're right you have to be a jester or bring something to do the table to shoot with higher-status people when you're ugly but there are also guys who are average-above-average looking who have legitimate autism and are socially stunted as well.

There are also people who hit the puberty lottery and were socially stunted as a result of their prior occurrences in their youth.

Again You seem to confuse popularity with sexual popularity. They are very different.

I can agree that there are situations where being ugly will hinder you when making friends or money, But then you legit need to be a 1-2/10 truecel.

But this is the thing, a lot of those awkward traits result out of poor treatment rather than people not being NT.

That may be true in some regard, but the difference between having autism and not is if you're able to rectify it. I've spoken to people who have pretty bad cases and literally all the time they have to focus on and feign things which just come naturally. I've never thought about my tone of voice in certain situations or feigning some emotion that I didn't feel in a certain social situation. It all just happens naturally, but for people with legitimate congenital autism at least the severe type they can never do that.

There are also some people who are able to have none of those traits despite poor looks and life experiences as well.

Also autistic people can be treated badly because of their behavior as well so they can end up more severe.

Autism only becomes a real barrier if its severe, like virtually unable to interact with people at all, if you're decent looking enough mild autism will be overlooked.

I think if you get diagnosed it's probably fairly severe especially in childhood. Sometimes they give out nonsense bullshit diagnoses but if the methodology is sound.
