I went inside my local retro game store not too long ago for the first time in like a few months or so.
Off the bat I noticed they increased their prices even though most retro games have just been stagnating market-wise. I've bought dozens of games from them in the past and they were typically 10%-15% below some of the lowest sold eBay prices, this time they were 10%-15% higher than some of the highest sold eBay prices, and the selection wasn't as good as it usually is either.
The second thing I noticed is how many people were on their phones. Half the store was just littered with reselling faggots price checking to make a quick buck. There was a groyperously built middle aged couple blocking me from looking at some of the games because they were sitting on the fucking floor talking about which games they can resell.
Normies are so vile and pathetic that they will go out of their way to ruin every hobby as long as there is something to exploit. I was collecting games before it was "cool" (when Silent Hill was $20, Mario Duck Hunt was .25 cents, etc. etc., unfortunately couldn't buy anything when it was all cheap, because I started collecting in 2007, when I was 7, and therefore couldn't have a job, of course, so I could only get shit on my birthday or Christmas) and it pisses me the fuck off how normgroids infiltrated not just retro game collecting, but literally EVERY hobby I've ever had just to exploit it and make a quick buck.
I could just buy an Everdrive, but I'm huge on playing original games on original hardware. I wish these normgroid faggots were gatekept from retro game collecting before they were able to shit it up with their greed.
