They're in the stage where they're justifying a new purchase they've been looking forward to. After they've played it for a few weeks (likely not finished) they get bored and move on to the next big game. Normies enjoy purchasing new games and consoles more than playing them. There's so many channels on YouTube devoted to niche handhelds, and the commenters will admit to buying over twenty or so different android and PC handhelds. It's ridiculous. That's the average normie mindset. They cope with consumerism to fill the empty void in their life.
