I just don't get that. Whenever my team is badly beating the enemy, I always swap teams to help out the losing team. I have a super bad W/L ratio in all games I can team swap in but I don't care. It's not fun ruining the enjoyment for others for a dopamine hit.

Not at all.
For example lot of Nintendo's classics were immensely popular and are gems.
Take donkey Kong country for example or Super Mario Sunshine.
They're beloved by millions of fans and are actually great quality, fun games.
Slop like COD and Fortnite are soulless games made by an accounting department in a corporate environment.

What about COD is slop ? Modern COD is trash i agree, but e.g. BO 1 campagne was top tier and the Zombie mode in BO3 is also fun

BO1 I agree with, BO3 I don't care for.
Normies can't handle being alone, this is why every new game has online capabilities. If they play a solo game they have the urge to livestream it at whatever cost.
