Usually parents see their children as some sort of extension of themselves. This type of thinking is a delusional cope, it's mainly a way for them to deal with the fact that they're going to die. Aside from that, people have kids without much thinking at all. It's seen as an intrinsic function which they don't even question, and procreation happens naturally due to sex being pleasurable. So from what I can tell, nobody has children for the sake of their children, it's only ever for themselves, in one way or another. If your parents were thinking about their potential child, and what would be in your best interest, you wouldn't ever have been created at all.
It's just the way that humans behave. I don't feel anger towards my parents because at the end of the day, they couldn't have done things differently, and I could be much worse off than I am. At least I'm not homeless. I just feel bad for them tbh.

I honestly think the main reason everyone has kids is because they're afraid of being alone in their old age. And they're right. Once your parents are dead, your friends move on, you're an ugly old fuck that no one cares about. If you have kids they have a lifelong devotion to caring for you and being your friend, if you're childless you're fucked.

It's the biological urge to reproduce and society pushing it as an ultimate goal. Marrying and having kids is an expectation put on you when you're born and most never question it. People want to leave some sort of legacy despite their genetics or quality of life (Not even having the money or values of a good parent). Even if someone produces someone that's not an incel, it's better to have kept them in the void and not ever been given consciousness. Having children is only to fulfill their own greedy needs (Signalling to others that you succeeded in mating, having them care for you in the future, etc). Supporting the antinatalist beleif is good.

I was feeling depressed looking at this thread.. but this specific part of your comment really appeals to me. Nothing makes me more happy than an allusion to a doomsday scenario. I want to play a part in that Apocalypse. It's heavily sexual to me.. complete destruction with the world at its heels.
I’m never having kids since society is so bad. I’m glad I was born though since there are things I actually enjoy in life even though life is a bitch.
