"Nobody thinks about your looks more than you do" is a deeply ignorant and dismissive statement. It completely ignores the fact that many people are constantly judged, ridiculed, and discriminated against based on their appearance. Society’s bullying and discrimination have real consequences on people’s mental health and self-esteem. To tell someone that their concerns are just in their head is not only invalidating but downright harmful. It minimizes their very real struggles and completely disregards how cruel the world can be when it comes to looks. Stop pretending like everyone is as privileged as you to not be affected by how they look. We need empathy and understanding, not these thoughtless, condescending comments that make people feel like their pain doesn’t matter.
