I have been going to the same coffee shop for years.
I don’t always go every day, but I went frequently.
The last time I was there, the foid barista was laughing and talking to some guy in a car.
It seemed like quite the great conversation.
She was laughing and smiling the whole time.
I stood there and looked.
A thought came to mind: “has she ever really had a conversation with me?”
No.
She has never been rude.
She just never says much of anything, besides hello and have a good day.
But the barista foid was just laughing and talking to that guy for more than 5 minutes.
In fact, no foid who works there has ever had much of a conversation with me.
This is not the first time I’ve noticed this.
I’ve noticed it with other foid baristas who work there too.
I’ve always dismissed it before.
But, I’ve just had enough.
I just walked away without getting in coffee.
After about 5 minutes of watching her interact with that other guy, I’d seen enough.
I’m never going back there.
It’s not that I had any plans on ever asking any of them out on a date.
It’s just that I demand equal treatment.
I will not be treated differently than others.
I guess, there is nothing I can do to change being subhuman.
But, I’m certainly not giving money to any business where I am treated unequally to the other customers.
