I mean slash the bulb so it drips sap then you collect it for the morphine

After the flower petals fall the plant actually makes the seed pod and after that you can do it

How did you germinate the seeds? I tried to grow some and they died as seedlings

Well I first put the seeds in a wet paper towel inside of a bag and sprayed them with water daily, kept the bag like that in fridge for a month. This makes them germinate faster. Then I just planted them normally. Maybe you didn't water them enough? Or maybe the soil wasn't optimal. Or maybe you planted them a bit too early or too late. Poppies are weird since they need cold temperatures and moist soil as seedlings and when they grow to later stages they like hot and dry.

When i put them in a bag with a paper towel to germinate they died shortly after. How big did you let them get in the bag before planting in the soil?

You mean the seedlings died in the fridge? I think you didn't give them enough water then. Its tricky because its hard to estimate how much water they need. I mean the seeds only grew tails in the paper towel. They were even smaller than this, like real small:

i don't know what these are but they look kind ugly

i used to have this kind of flowers back in the day (arabian night pinky flowers) but they died in the end when i needed to change my location
