I can't really be 100% sure but I'm pretty close to 100% that they are, especially my 6 year old one who just stares at me weirdly all the time but doesn't ever talk to me and ignores me when I say hello whenever she's over, my other niece is 13 and she mostly ignores me because I think she's finally old enough now to understand that I've got something wrong with me (im autistic and mentally ill as fuck)

I've seen the way my 13 year old niece talks to her other uncle besides me, who's attractive and NT and the difference is literally night and day, she talks to him comfortably whereas with me it's just like a holding me at arms length kinda way

It's fucking brutal man, you'd think that since they've literally seen my face since they were babies they'd be sufficiently desensitised to my appearance but if anything they seem even more weirded out by me than when they were younger, so this really challenges the mere exposure effect theory
