Immediately get up and answer and she asks if I could work an extra shift, so I said yes cause I meed money and then I realized there was a snow storm

I got called in to work an extra shift once too. I accepted, but will not accept the next time. Be smart about it OP and selectively decline some of the requests when you can too so they don’t make it a habit and think they can use you and depend on you
