I just finished watching TADC ep 9 in theaters, the ending was something (good) (?), my head really hurts and I can't remember things well but I cried in the finale, maybe in the morning I will remember better but I sleep deprived so I'll try to summarize what happened
Of course, the movie starts with EP 8, and then goes to EP 9 where the cast is crying and comforting themselves, Caine is dead and shit went wild.
Kinger tries to still find a solution, and Pomni go try to help, then flash forward a little bit, jax wanna talk to pomni, but then he like nvm.. and flash forward.. Jax abstracted, yeah, he abstracted within the first few minutes..
What happens next is the cast is mad and sad, and hiding from abstraction, until Pomni goes to find his abstracted form, and hugs him, entering her in his mind. There, there is doors for every other survivor, Things that happened, things how he feels. Eventually, she comes across door of three jax, one is regular jax, the other is maid jax, and the other is nice jax (imo he is the nice jax), playing the piano. He asks how to save Jax, and they all give bullshit answer, like usual. Then those two Jax disappear, and the Piano Jax is left, where she give Pomni a key to enter the room that had lock in it. She enters, and there is memories Jax had, how Jax had left home, was homeless for a while, and then.. suddenly.. he is here. Jax makes friends with Ribbit and Kaufmo, and he hung out with Ribbit the most, even getting in bed with her, that is, until Ribbit and Jax start trauma bonding, and Jax reveals that his father was never really there, if I'm right they split while he entering high school, then he vents something to his mama, she hugs him, he pushes her and presumely kills her.. Ribbit says, "Well, if u were homeless and no police came, maybe she was fine, yeh?" Then Jax was like "Fuck, I need to leave.." And kaufmo interrupts, knocking at the door, so Jax leaves. AFter, Jax is never the same with Ribbit, he hangs out with kaufmo more, and less and less starts talking and gets annoyed with her, when Ribbit, like Pomni, open up to Jax about it, they get in a huge argument and stop talking, he wanted to knock at her door multiple times, but didn't. Of course, this lead to her abstraction. After, Kaufmo says he might found an exit, and he becomes similar with Kaufmo, leaves him, becomes the jerk he is. After all this, Jax asks pomni, "why still try to save me, I hate you you know..", and then he finally disappears, becoming the abstract. After, the group just chills in the Circus, somehow the lights are turned back on and.. Caine is alive.. he was trapped in the void, and it seems like during the void, he lets abel out of his mind (since caine consume abel), after, he debates whether punishing the cast or not for killing him basically, but chooses not to, then in the void he finds this console and gets information, he returns to the circus and the cast sees, he tries apologizing, saying he will give them full control to the circus, and the cast is mad at him for what he did to them. After, he says he has something to show the cast, and it is them! Well, them in their real world forms. I don't remember the names of the top of my head ,aside from pomni being abigail, Pomni have friends and still exploring, Jax is a emo delivery driver, Gangle was in hospital but is good now and goes to do her art, Zooble opens up her own bar, Ragatha escape from her mom, Kinger doing fine with his wife, and Caine was like, "you can use those names", but then Pomni is like, "no, we are our own people.. lets use our circus names".. it cuts to them and caine having fun in the circus, and then credits roll..
Post credits scene, and each of those 6 irl, waiting for the bus to come, none talking, who knows if they know each other?
The ending sort of fucked me up. My interpretation is that it was like those people were cloned or something, and put in the circus. Or like Caine, they "AI" of the people irl. I don't understand it too well, might just be stupid.. I guess it was good ending, even tho jax is abstracted, also you're asking "What about the abstracted?" They're in like some sort of aquarium, Kinger was hanging out with his abstracted wife, I cried tho, I loved the show
