The comment section is overflowing with reflections from boomers, zoomer females, and normans alike on the importance of cherishing teenage love and embracing the fleeting joys of youth.

The song was “Sleep”, which long-time fans may recognize as a rarity that has been circulating for almost 30 years as a Pygmalion-era demo, is an unreleased track by the british shoegaze group Slowdive. What’s less known is that it’s technically a cover, originally by guitarist Christian Savill’s teenage pre-Slowdive band Eternal and was released on their 1990 single Breathe, which is now available on Bandcamp.
In any case, it sounds magical and I find it interesting that the song with the most plays is a somewhat obscure, essentially rough, relatively low-quality demo recording that was never officially released on an album. But then, this song hasn't been officially released and therefore is only easily accessible in one place, so it would naturally have more views on that platform. Unreleased music finds its sanctuary on YouTube, making it the perfect home for such gems.
