It certainly feels that way in my case. I can barely think straight under the influence of music. Yet, the urge is always here to turn it on.
It also heavily feeds my narcissism, as I always imagine myself as the singer, the songwriter, the secretly talented musician that shuts everybody's mouths and rises to the top. Just a big mental masturbation with no real purpose.

Both of them were written by Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam. At least music gives me inspiration to write my thoughts on paper sometimes. But I'm still quitting it for a while.
