If you're bored or are feeling pretty down and have the spare time, view the 1975 film 'Dersu Uzala'. It's a foreign picture directed by an established Japanese director and financed by the Soviet Union. Yes, you would have to read subtitles but it's a very visual-driven experience so if you don't catch all the words you won't be lost. Aside from the striking photography of the Manchurian Border's landscape, this fact-based epic is wholesome, innocent and virtuous without being schmaltzy or dumb. If you don't feel an injection of lifefuel by the time the end credits roll, you must be dead or in a coma.
