YouTube has decided to dox all its users as part of its push to become a social media platform like TikTok. You should be careful to strip tracking information from share URLs. YouTube has unveiled a new feature: if you have a tracker link when you share a YouTube video, the recipient can now get your channel name & username.

I would recommend you install ClearUrls that does this automatically. You can get it for Firefox or Chrome-based browsers like Brave or Chrome.

I always remove them, I brought a this up to master when it first came out 2-3 years ago and if you notice that incels.is auto removes them on embedded videos.

This is why I usually watch YouTube videos on PipePipe on Android mobile or use Invidious on desktop. I have not used vanilla YouTube in years.
