Modern liberalism with its alphabet sexuals and minorities isn't about democracy or about the rule of majority. It is about the rule of minorities, who govern and dictate over the majority. In their eyes you should be so individualistic that you should even be against democracy - because the majority could make the "mistake" of voting for Hitler, or in general any right-wing politician, who could then "trample" on the rights of these alphabet sexuals and minorities.
Modern liberalism gives orders of what individuals should be. Of course this is against classical definition of liberalism, but modern liberalism is so woke and liberal that horseshoe theory prevails. Instead of having the freedom to choose, you now have the duty to be a progressive liberal, because if you are not, then you are part of the oppressing class.
Liberty and liberalism has went so far now, that people have been given the right to be free from any collective identity, and in many ways also discouraged of having such identities. In fact you are seen as being backwards if you have an identity like that. You consider yourself French because you are a native from France? That's oppressive, nobody has a claim to such identity. Either everyone has the claim or nobody does. And if you do, you're practically seen as an archaic caveman.
You have been given the right to be free of gender. If you want, you can be genderfluid, or a woman, or a man tomorrow if you so choose. Or even non-binary, whatever the fuck that means. Calling yourself non-binary, or pansexual, or whatever these new terms are, is seen trendy in these gen Z leftist circles. To be free from any kind of collective identity.
The only state to be left to be liberated from, is the state of being human. We are already seeing therians and furries who identify as animals. Maybe in a decade we are starting to see humans with microchips in their bodies, becoming cyborgs, and ultimately giving them the liberty of not having to identify as humans anymore. And these leftists liberals will lap it up like the dogs they are.
