Recently I went into the butler's pantry at Cuckachu Manor and moved a sack of flour. Behind it there was an absolute dickensian horror of rodent droppings. I was disgusted tbh. But mostly disgusted at myself for living like this.
So I dusted off my bullshit plastic easy-to-set mousetrap for retards, baited it with a single flake of grated cheese, and let it do its thing.
Three mice on the first evening, then at least one every day for the next week.
They really aren't smart, they just fall for it over and over.
I also own the rat version of this trap, which I have used in my garage/shed, and it has never ever caught one single rat, because rats are onto you and they can see what you're doing. Rats can also steal bait from the most hair-trigger of traps without springing it. So the plastic trap for retards is a joke to them. But mice are basically the redditors of the mammal kingdom, so the bar is a lot lower with them.
They must literally walk past their brother's dead bodies in the trap, thinking to themselves
"that's interesting!" Then later when they come past again, the dead body is gone, the trap is open again, and the only thought that crosses their minds is "ooh - free food!"
