From those who made the hard as fuck game STALKER, comes a game that solves 2 major issues with the origonal STALKER franchise and is mkre linear then STALKER. Metro.
Unlike the normie ass american FPS games were it either "Russia bad" or "Jihad Johnny bad" you get somthing more enjoyable. Basically the story is you are on a quest to head to polis, a big ass station to get help as your home underground station is getting fucked up by mutants and the "dark ones". And since the game is russian/ukranian you know its a paranormal anomoly and not black people.
Well as you do you kinda go through mutants, bandits, comunists and the Reich witch there called nazis but are actually based off of a nazi based russian group I forgot the name of. You play as 20 year old Artyom. A lets say mostly mute character. He is doing this long ass jurney. Well most of the game is that and when polis tells Artyom to go fuck him self he takes that advice and decides to head to secret base that contains a nuke just to nuke the dark ones the fuck up. Good gamplay though not as good game play as Last Light. But 2033 had the much better story.
Last light made up for the gameplay by having more non linear mission. Gamplay seems less scripted as you can do things on your own way more. Alot more stealth opertunitys.
Exodus. This game had ALOT more potential is they didnt make I say 2 major screw ups. That was the mission in the forest were you loose all of your shit for the rest of the level stuck with a fucking crossbow. And the other were in the urals were you just non-stop are in a gun fight with cannibals who know were the fuck you are. Those 2 mission kinda botches the experience. Volga river and Caspian Desert were fucking big ass bangers and looming at the way those 2 levels played out. I think the devs at the time of making exodus just really missed making STALKER. Exudes on Volga & Caspian really is the Closest thing to STALKER in 2019 when the game released. And I geuss it was a dorshadow because geuss what was released last year from when I type this in. STALKER 2 Hear of Chenobyl.
In conclusion. I only really recommend the 1st and 2nd Metro games. Exoduse was the black sheep that has half botched. 2033 was a adventurous story. And last light was basicly a seperated DLC that had better levels. IDK how cheap either games are but its worth getting both and playing. Just be observant for them recources and take stealth sections as a fucking blessing from god himself.
I did hear that there was a new metro hame in the works that seems to be simuler to STALKER were you can explore all of Moscow but you play as somone else as Aryom is making a thriving were ever the fuck he and the rest of the gang is at.
Im willing to bet it wont have the same problems as Exodus. And I am probably gonna by it when it releases since Russians or Ukrainians or who-ever in that area seems to know what the fuck there doing with apocalyptic FPS games. Still doing Chenobylite. Game has that beginers hardness to it that Im trying to get pass.
