I used to like card games with less complicated effects like Legends of Runeterra and Hearthstone and Pokemon TCG

I see where you're coming from. Modern Yugioh Effects are so long and complicated. But the ones from 2010 Yugioh which is what a sizable part of the community plays, aren't.
