Sounds pretty fucked up or I may sound retarded but we don't know what came before out birth so how can we say what we said before we were born. if there was no me before me then I cannot say I didn't want to be born. Before me, we were we. The only logical thing is that before birth is a collective conscious of some sort, so I am you and you are me and we all wanted to be here. Otherwise, life would've stopped by now

At least according to Buddhism this interpretation is correct. Even if we intrinsically now understand that life is just suffering, we are still so attached to it that our consciousness will manifest in another being born after 'our' physical bodies die.

Maybe if one can give up the attachment, one can be free from the wheel of samsara.
