Tbh marriage could be a very nice concept in a different world. Being bonded with a partner you love and trust for the rest of your life, having to face all of life's many difficulties and few moments of joy together.

Unfortunately we don't live in such a world. Nobody is perfect and that's ok. But nowadays, because divorce is relatively easy to get marriage is absolutely meaningless. I'm not even going to mention how men get divorce raped and lose all their assets.

Even with how vile and manipulative women are, if marriage was a lifelong bond it could be eventually turned into something good. The relationship would evolve and you'd reach a balance eventually.

Nowadays marriage is just an incredibly stressful affair for the man, with virtually no advantages for him.

True, I've always considered marriage to be a beautiful system but the existence of divorce laws corrupted it into something that is considered only temporary, especially by foids.

It's even weirder in the case of religious marriages; people literally promise to the god they believe in that they'll stay married and then just throw it away, as if they don't mind risking eternal punishment so they can go fuck someone else. I'd say divorce should only be acceptable in the case of cheating because in that scenario you have broken the contract of marriage which requires you to stay loyal to your partner. Otherwise, there's no excuse for it.
