Haven't played enough of Soulstice and Asterigos to fully recommend them but if you like melee fighters they could be a fun titles
Witchfire may be good in future but it doesn't have enough content
VLADiK BRUTAL is completely overrated asset flip avoid idk why people like it

I haven't played the first one in a while but what do you think is wrong with it exactly? It's a little rng heavy but that's part of the point of the game and if you are using good strategy you will win most campaigns even though you will lose some ventures.
I enjoy the city building aspect of the game too.

it is the single worst game I've ever played and I've been gaming non stop for the past 25 years. I wouldn't even call it a game. it's a bait torture chamber lottery. it takes way too long and most of it is grinding levels and getting trolled and rekt by random rng bullshit. I love hard games. this shit isn't hard, it's the fucking antichrist

To be fair the rng isnt as bad in darkest dungeon 2, you can still get screwed by rng obviously(and when you do you have to cut your loses and make the most of the situation) but using the right items and strategy is a lot more important and you will win the majority of the time if you are doing so, but it also has a bigger learning curve than darkest dungeon 1 and some of the items and skills require unlocking(so grinding), but overall I think its good but it definitly doesnt appeal to everyone.
