I'm not saying we should go back to serfdom. I'm just speculating about a system that doesn't have a centralized government but at the same time isn't ruled by direct democracy

Oh right yeah I don't know then this seems like the best of what we have as it is the most practical

We are going to have a discussion about The Enlightenment

Was The Enlightenment and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race?
I wasn't a mistake but it definitely went terribly WRONG. Cucks are to be blamed.

"The Enlightenment"? You mean mayocels stealing all the documents educated Islamic people had and pretending they were the ones who came up with it? Is that what you mean, bro?
science is muslim property, kufir!

Whether chad is nobility or your "equal citizen" he's still worth infinitely more than you and can have your head on spike if he wants. No difference really.

No, it wasn't.

Liberalism (outside of the contemporary American context), scientific reasoning, the industrial revolution, were all awesome things.

Monarchies are stupid.

Interesting stuff itt

Cult to progress, baseless optimism, bluepill
The cult of progress and linear history is something they took from christianity just applying it to the immanent material world. It's one the the things i really despise about leftists and their shallow superficial understanding of the World

Most lefties cant see anything of value when they look at the past. Ive been like that for a long time. Now every time i read about the medieval ages i just cant believe how based their cultures were and how much is lost.

What happened during that era? ELI5

I feel the same about those who can't see something good with the present. History is circular and it can sometimes get better as time passes and sometimes it gets worse.
Today we are much more similar to the late imperial Rome then we are to the 50's even tho imperial Rome is places so much more back in time.
Leftists who can't understand that and that no matter the facts "you Can't stop progress, bro. What are you a caveman? " are very annoying tho and they are also ignoring that we become much more similiar to cavemen and less similiar to civilized people the more we "liberate" foids
Ive been like that for a long time.
Yes i also have been an annoying leftard in my teens

No, I think the enlightenment was a good thing. Is it too late to join this discussion?

No its fine, I'd like to hear your thoughts

The enlightenment was not just a political change, it was a change in morality and our whole way of thinking. The very idea that you should not be constrained to serfdom your whole life just because you were born to a serf linage was a foreign concept to pre-enlightenment folk. Meritocracy, a sense of universal justice, and the idea that one's worth is not dependent on their ancestry are the main ideas of enlightenment that changed out world. Democracy, nationalism (pre-globalism), faith in science, equality wouldn't exist without it.

And I know everyone loves to be edgy and say how they oppose equality because they aren't an "SJW", but if they lived in a world where equality wasn't an base value they'd probably just be a slave to some higher Lord who claims to be speaking with God.

Again, I'd rather not go back to serfdom. Serfdom is slavery.

The Enlightenment turned everyone into hedonistic, hippie-age egoism, materialistic beings.
Cogito, ergo sum or “I think, therefore I am" was good while it lasted, but the development of production forces accelerated so fast that our cognitive abilities couldn't catch up, and before we could all turn into little Aristoteles, pornhub and tinder happened so now it's "I coom therefore I am".

The Enlightenment was the blueprint for progressivism which set in place egalitarianism and gave women the right to vote and accelerated the collapse of society.

The enlightenment was blueprints for modern liberalism indeed, but most of modern liberalism is better.

Where did 'enlightenment' come from? Pro tip: it didn't happen in a vacuum. It was a mans idea of freedom. Freedom from what exactly? He had the bitches chained down and a sky daddy to lend it a theological justification. What was there to rebel? Dig into Friedrich Hegel's Phenomenology of Spirit and get a hold of dialects and you'll see. Whether you're a materialist or a hegelian, it doesn't matter, -- the blueprint for feminism resides in the master-slave dialectic, and slaves eventually revolt! Man did revolt throughout history, against the divine right of Kings, superstition and eventually God himself. But once he, a mere mortal, became Master, the people he now controlled would be learning a lot from his tactics. It's a revolutionary trajectory that is impossible to escape or control, especially once you started flipping off patriarchal deities yourself.
