Democracy is crap because it NEVER EXISTS. Calling a regime "Democracy" is always a lie. "The people" cannot govern. This idea is a fiction; a pie in the sky.

Only 2 kinds of regime exist, violentocracy or ploutocracy, i.e. military rule or rule by the wealthy.

The Roman Empire, Feudalism, military dictatorship or Communism are examples of violentocracy.
Medieval Italian City-States (Venice, Florence, etc), The United provinces (in the 16th-17th centuries) or modern Western "Democracies" are example of Ploutocracy.

Ploutocracy is far better than violentocracy. First, it allows EVERYONE to benefit from greater wealth and also it is far more peaceful. Merchants understand that war is bad for business. They are therefore much less likely to go to war.

So the solution is simple. The best form of government is honest ploutocracy, i.e. a regime in which the wealthy govern while not hiding behind the fiction of "Democracy".

This is what the "Republican" fraction of the founding fathers in America stood for. They promoted the idea of a non-Democratic Republic in which only those above a certain level of wealth could vote.

Unfortunately, demagogues like Jefferson won the argument and started to pretend that America could be a "Democracy". This forced the wealthy to hide behind campaign donations and outright bribery of elected officials. Not a good solution. Better have the wealthy govern OPENLY. They will govern anyways.
