If women were considered property, there'd be less domestic violence against women because husbands wouldn't want to lose money by destroying their property. Women would also be protected from violence from other men because they wouldn't want to go to jail for vandalizing another man's property. This is why we don't hear about crime being rampant in the Confederacy. Slavery is a fair system because instead of deciding which men get women based on women's superficial standards, the men who contributed the most to society by working the hardest, evidenced by their high incomes, will be rewarded with the opportunity to purchase women. Therefore emancipation benefited lazy and unproductive men and caused violence against women.
