Probably due to hyper-moderation would be my guess.
Once you get flagged as being "toxic" it completely fucks with your matchmaking from what I understand.
Even stuff you say outside of the game can get you banned from certain games.

Increased moderation in games definitely changed stuff a lot, people used to speak freely because online felt like the wild west where you could say anything without consequence but it hasn't been like that for a long time, now people are paranoid if they say anything out of line they will get banned so they just don't talk. Eventually all of this buckbreaking fucks with you mentally and you just give up.
Also probably because of an increase of social anxiety and a decrease in people's social skills... but I bet if we could return to the wild west internet again people would talk more.
Kind of fucked the only option a lot of us had to socialize is so cucked we don't even have that anymore.
This goes beyond just games, dead internet theory is real.

true, I said nigger in a game after a long time of not playing and the new moderation system automatically banned me for a week. I nuked that account in a rage. thought it was just the world being more antisocial in general but moderation is probably a big part of it

100% Agree. A few foids and trannies couldn't manage to hit the mute button when their feefees were hurt so instead everyone else just had to stfu or lose their accounts.
Not to say it's all their fault, they were the useful idiots, the kikes at the ADL and Blackrock clearly didn't do this because they cared about these snowflakes, they did it to fuck with peoples heads.
