Good question. I often overhear (not said to me) random strangers saying (to another person), that I'm probably (mentally) retarded – because I look so strange.

People say the same thing about me but at least it grants me critical immunity.
In my case it is total strangers - of all sexes and ages. Never directly to me, but amongst each other. ALWAYS. ANYWHERE. ANYTIME. Outdoors, restaurant (the rare times I go), or you name it. Old, young, female, male, ugly, attractive, rich, poor........ every time I'm the center of attention, hear a snarky joke or comment. Even when my parents are around.
