good call tbh. Kubo and Angel next door are good examples of things that will never happen but one wishes would happen. Romance manga just be like that, I wish to have experienced those things, but at the same time I know there isn't a girl that wouldn't laugh at my face and never interact with me again; but then I also think back at my classmates who did experience these things and become hyper-depressed because I missed out on core teen experiences that I will never be able to experience again and the absence of which has caused a great deal of effects on me.
Man missing out on teenage romance and even other teenage friend experiences is always one of the biggest bummers. There is no repeat to life and u just gotta sit down and watch and read these romance animanga thinking about what could've been. Depression is inevitable in that sense. the relationship between the two of them is sweet and that's what makes it depressing. Also seeing Naoto's growth by the end of the manga. The r34 is to be expected to be honest, Blue Archive has insane amounts of r34 but the story is pure af and the characters are 99% pure as fuck.

The anime doesn't adapt the post chapter pages where Nagatoro asks herself if she went overboard showing that she isn't really a bully (tbh they weren't even in the english translation of the manga, had to read the original japanese manga to read them jfl at this clown world). She tones down after chapter 3-4 anyways (episode like 2?) and it becomes a wholesome coming of age story with teasing. But I understand where you come from, I was bullied in middle school and seeing Naoto bullied like that also turned me off a little but I kept reading and I'm glad I did honestly.

She pivots to teasing anyways and only becomes marginally more brutal when she's pushing Naoto beyond his limits (running, drawing a person who isn't sleeping, standing up for himself. Nagatoro herself is immature at the beginning and grows up during the story because of Naoto.
