So spoilers for those who haven't played or want to play so rebirth game ends at the forgotten capital where 6'2 pretty boy spehiroth stabs aerith and sephiroth reveals he wants to unite different worlds into one so that he can destroy them together and we fight him as zack and cloud. Which was pretty cool tbh. then you fight his reborn form after defeating him you fight him solo in his human with aerith as your side. Now the thing is aerith that fights with you is not real she is imagination of cloud . At the end cloud keeps imagining where aerith is alive and is ignoring tifa for her as game made cloud and tifa's romance canon. imagine being most gooned character in history and getting cucked by a foid from ancient race with smaller boobs which is not even real but a hallucination

its kingdom heartsification of ff7 i liked kingdom hearts 1 but after that i stopped giving shit about what was happening in story. Similar thing happened here at the end i stopped giving shit about timelines because i had no clue what was going on i was enjoying music and boss battles which tbf were designed pretty well

she's definitely real. but she can only communicate with cloud for some reason (prob some bullshit like cloud overdosing on some jenova/mako/ancient juice and getting just enough ancient powers to sense her). this is obviously just square enix's way of keeping her as a playable character in part 3.
