Let’s do a little thought experiment

Imagine you go back in time to 2 centuries ago when planes didn’t exist, and ships were the only method of transportation to cross the seas and go from one continent to another

If the men of the past thought to themselves, “we already have a way to cross the seas due to the existence of ships, so there’s no reason to try to invent another vessel which can achieve the same purpose,” then planes would’ve never been invented.

Rather, even though humans had a way to cross the seas, they wanted a way to do so in a quicker and more efficient way, so humanity’s dis-satisfaction with their present circumstances was what initiated the invention of planes.

When emperors waged wars against other empires, it’s because they weren’t satisfied with the size of their kingdom and the wealth/resources of their kingdom, they aspired for MORE.

They wanted their empire to have more land, they wanted to increase the population of their empire by bringing people from other empires under their control etc. The desire to achieve more due to Dis-satisfaction with present circumstances, is why the British empire which started off only consisting of the British people in the small islands of Britain, ended up expanding to cover territories all over the world and brought people of various different cultures and ethnicities under its influence.

Even if you look at a billionaire, he might have 10 billion but he still isn’t satisfied, his next goal will be to get 20 billion. Once he achieves that, his next goal will be to get to 30 billion, on and on it goes, it’s a never-ending game.

Game of thrones quote from a character named Petyr Baelish, other-wise known as “Littlefinger” (the guy in my avi), as he speaks to Sansa while looking out at his ship at sea.

“I always wanted a ship, now I want a dozen”.

“Strange, isn’t it? It doesn’t matter what we want, once we get it, we want something else”

Human desires are unlimited by way of nature, so Telling someone, “just be happy with what you have bro” is in contradiction to HUMAN NATURE itself.

But the most important thing to note, is that the desire to achieve more due to dis-satisfaction with present circumstances, has been the core motivation for all invention, innovation, progress and development in society.

If humans were satisfied with what they had and never aspired for more, we would still be living in caves like in the caveman era, being unhappy with what you have has been the “Driving force” for the advancement of human civilisation, so telling people to be happy with what they have is an illogical and stupid thing for Normies to say.

Never be happy with what you have, if you’re happy to be earning $50k in an average job then you’ll remain in that position for the rest of your life. Rather, if you’re unhappy with present situation, you will focus on self-improvement so that you can increase your quality of life and enjoy life more than before, never let Normies fool you or brainwash you into being happy with what you have

The idea that something is for your “highest good” is pure masochism. It is only to justify suffering since bluepiller/redpiller/NPC have no other way of explaining why suffering happens.
It is similar to the German philosopher Nietzsche's “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”
It is idiotic to accept that suffering is supposed to be for a good reason or is good for you. Statistics show that suffering causes all kinds of mental and emotional problems including depression, anxiety, PTSD, personality disorders, as well as physical ailments. Physical suffering also causes pain, debilitation, and speeds up death.
So, they are wrong. Something bad that happens to you isn’t for your highest good, doesn’t mean you can handle it, nor does it make you stronger.
If you got wiser for it and were made stronger for it, it means you consciously chose to or got lucky you didn’t get maimed or killed by it, not because the event itself magically turned you wiser and stronger.
Don’t fall for the bluepilled propaganda of suffering being normal and acceptable. It isn’t. They’re trying to make it that way and subjugate you.

That's because it's not advice, it's gaslighting, that's all they do to those they see as being beneath them.

Human desires are unlimited by way of nature, so Telling someone, “just be happy with what you have bro” is in contradiction to HUMAN NATURE itself.

Dont exactly agree with this statement. It is possible that the "unlimited-ness" of human desire is actually a defense mechanism they use to manage their constant fear of losing possession or access to something they attach value to (see Terror Management Theory).

Having things in abundance, having more than what the human needs to survive... It can encourage human to have the impression of "vitality" about their being. As if they are "more alive" and "further away from death" than they were when they owned less things, even though the lesser amount of things they used to have was still enough for them to get by and maintain satisfactory health.

If you watch this documentary, you should understand. Maybe there is some kind of purpose behind the existence of humanity, even though there's nothing that proves beyond reasonable doubt there is a meaning to it. Fear may be a necessary instinct for survival in a world where mortality is possible. But its hard to affirm with certainty that fear in humans is a natural instinct in a world where existence may be meaningless, because survival would not exactly be important or necessary in a world where existence is ultimately meaningless.

high iq and undoubtedly true

also you can counter this pathetic argument to normans with one line

SO YOUR HAPPY WITH EVERYTHING YOU HAVE AND NEVER WANT ANYTHING MORE RIGHT RIGHT,

EG BACK IT UP WITH YOUR OWN ACTION DOUCHEBAG, IF YOU DONT APPLY IT TO YOURSELF DONT EXPECT ME TO APPLY IT TO MYSELF YOU CONTRADICTORY DOUBLE STANDARD WIELDING TWAT

Man ain't meant to be happy. He's hardwired to be dissatisfied with at least aspects of his life, where he then works on.

The decadent "don't worry, be happy"-mindset normalcattle claims is needed for success in life (and especially romantic relationships) is merely a product of an Empire in decline. People have gone too soft, choosing to ignore what is inconvenient, instead indulging in escapism, even if it means giving up freedom and ultimately, humanity.

This guarantees that they are slaves, easily herded by banking off their degenerate desire of always feeling "good". They lash out at the unhappy souls, mocking them, like the lazy cricket did to the industrious ants.
