I genuinely feel jrpgs are the only genre which isn't effected by invasion of normies i mean final fantasy did have that issue but normies have abandoned that franchise. jrpgs have cute looking toilets and decent wholesome stories.

western rpgs are a better escapism option, jrpgs have a preconceived story, in games like skyrim you have much more freedom to modify the world with your actions, and to go wherever you want without any obstacles

western rpgs like dragon age veilguard which lectures you on gender virus and baldur's gate 3 starfield? FF is officially ZOGGED. 13 trilogy was the last fun and clean experience square enix released (I like FF16 a lot but ya that Dion scene...........).
