tbh they have a track record of results. If you want to feel like you are helping in a concrete way it's definitely one thing to consider.

And I've forwarded proposals to be more inclusive of self-identified incels. Rights groups don't want to seem even tangentially affiliated with anything incel-related.

As long as you skirt a defined pr line some men's rights group are sympathetic.

If many of us don't care to advocate on our own behalf, I can't blame other groups for not prioritizing us, either. Venting feels good. I'm the first to agree. But we should be willing to do more. Our sites are being taken down one after another, possibly illegally. We're censored and silenced and erased nearly everywhere else. When the few final refuges we have are sterilized, what then? I think the solutions lie in exploiting technology (we no longer have to rely on censorable online platforms) and our own efforts HERE. We're already together here. We've been enumerating the injustices for years. We should be the ones to begin advocacy, not others who're already wary of us.

Incels aren't the only ones facing this. A lot of deplatforming already happened to rightwing and "far right" conservatives. There is no clear solution except build your own platform and infrastructure. But as the parler shutdown showed even that can be thwarted if you still rely on mainstream corps to fund some part of your infrastructure. No easy solutions. @Robtical @epillepsy

If other groups that were historically persecuted felt this way, they'd never have achieved rights. Someone has to start a legal rights-based movement. We're sitting ducks right now and no one is doing anything to protect us. The difference between "right wing" groups and us is many of them are already part of the establishment--legal, financial, courts, law enforcement, political... We're nobodies so no one is going to give a damn when they pass illegal legislation to curtail our freedoms. Then it'll just be a matter of time before it's open season on us. Hiding shouldn't be the option. It's still early enough to nip things in the bud. Incels as a class are NOT all the things they say we are. But soon, we're all going to suffer because THEY control the rhetoric and THEY have the law-makers' ears. Freedom isn't free. And rights aren't permanent.

By now, everyone's heard of how social media blew up after Peterson's New York Times interview in which he claims "enforced monogamy" might cut down on the number of embittered, lonely guys in society. He meant, as we all knew, that society should encourage monogamy, not legally enforce it. But anyway, in a subsequent interview with Joe Rogan, Peterson tries to acquit himself. But around time 01:20, he condemns most/many of us by calling us "useless young men."

So, because we don't have a lot of money, aren't wage slaving for corporations and the government, and we haven't conformed to the standards of the very society that rejected us, we're "useless." There's your "value of human life." This supposed hero of disenfranchised young men has thrown us (incels) collectively under the bus and agreed that our lives have no value. We ALREADY KNOW this is how society thinks of us and THIS is why so many of us have withdrawn from society.

The subject was literally trying to attribute to him claims he's never made, and "take nubile women by gunpoint under state enforcement and deliver them to useless young men" was part of that.
It wasn't an attack on incels, it was an attack on dishonesty in journalism.

Peterson said the NYT interviewer misrepresented him--AS IF he were arguing that we should by gun-point "give young, nubile women to worthless young men." No one would choose as a counterargument to attribute "worthless ..." as a characteristic to another broad social group--like blacks or Latinos or Native Americans. He made the comment about young men because at some level he believes there is such a thing as "worthless young men." He's distinguished himself as someone who offers young men a way (Peterson's, of course) to avoid being "worthless."

So I disagree with you. Peterson's assertion was more than a direct attack on journalistic manipulation. It was an oblique, common attack on incels.
