It seems to me that Chad usually has hobbies that involve moving around in convoluted ways, mostly with means of transportation turned into a recreational activity : skying, surfing, skateboarding, sky-diving, hiking, piloting cars, planes etc...

I've never been into any of these stuff, and it's not because most of these hobbies are expensive, since some are not. A skateboard for instance is not expensive, I used to have one as a kid but I wasn't obsessed by it enough to keep using it as an adult.
