It's just a platonic outing where she is going out with you to spend her free time, expand her social circle, get enteratined etc. If it is a date then she likes you, you like her and you spend time with her building up some basic chemistry/familiarity so that you eventually make out and fuck later on.

Even if a girl agrees to go out with you, that DOES NOT mean she likes you. It only means that she has free time and tolerates you enough to spend time with you. Unless you end up kssing her and/or fucking her you can't call it a date.

I actaully like the old TRP analogy that dating is not a bank where you input raport and sex eventually comes out. Dates are like resteraunt, where each time you go to one shes looking at each experience individually. If you go on a date and don't have sex, you failed. She might give you another chance, but the bottom line is that the first date is no different from the 3rd or 5th
