Global News has released an article today on the anniversary of the AM attack. They have continued to push false narratives about our community and are now pushing to have us censored (again). Vox has also released an article today (which I will be making my own thread about it) essentially saying that our community is "too far gone" and hopes that Alana and some other person called "ReformedIncel" can fix this "broken online world". The media has continuously smeared us for over a year now, and they have not been very successful about it.
They want us to go away. They don't care about getting to the root of this problem. They simply don't care. All they care about is pandering to outrage culture about how we're "violent misogynist terrorists" and getting those clicks on their stories so that they can continue to make money off ads and to keep people mad at a group of people that are already down on their luck. Never mind that 77% of males make up the total amount of suicide victims and also make up the majority of the single homeless population. By continuing not to care about men and their problems, and continuing to demonize and belittle those men that are struggling to try to get a leg up in a society that doesn't care about them.
I posted a tweet with this image yesterday about the fact that 28% of men not having sex in the past year and the correlation that it has to the rise of dating apps, Tinder specifically. The rise of social media and Tinder has given women a very wide dating pool, where they can choose from the best of the best and the rest of the men get left behind. NOT only that, but now men outnumber women on Tinder by 9 to 1. This is troubling for society in general. Men are not going to college, nor are they working anymore. I feel that these men don't want to work to benefit a society that mocks, berates, and belittles their problems and why should they? It doesn't make sense to contribute to anything that's not going to even benefit you indirectly. As more men opt out of society and choose to not engage at all, society will suffer and they won't give a single fuck about it.
I have engaged with countless journalists and researchers about the community at large, and they still refer to this community as a movement. This greatly pisses me off as we are NOT a movement. This is a community where we can speak freely about our issues without the threat of corporate censorship. Many journalists choose to write stories about us and they are obviously trying to fearmonger and scare people into believe that we're dangerous people that should be locked up in cell and not allowed to speak. This is why so many people distrust the media, and will continue to do so for good reason.
I've highlighted many instances where AM was bullied in school and people constantly made fun of him on twitter. The CBC took Eggy's words out of context and nearly got him to stop streaming and to quit the internet entirely. We can't allow them to continue to get away with telling these lies and this is the main reason why I respond to many of this stories, even though I don't really like engaging with their bullshit stories in the first place.
In the Global News article, Evan Balgord of Canadian Anti-Hate Network said the government needs to step up and take more action. This is a dog-whistle for calling for censorship. In the wake of the radical islamic terror attack in Sri Lanka that killed over 300 people, their government is blocking all social media to stop the spread of "misinformation". There was an attack in New Zealand about a month ago where 50 people were killed, and they blocked sites such as Zerohedge, 4chan, and 8chan. This censorship isn't going to stop.
They're using us and many others as an excuse to censor the opinion of people that they don't like and we aren't going to allow them to do that. We are going to speak our minds, and there's nothing that these media companies can do about it.
