I overheard a conversation, while in Dunkin Donuts, between a group of female Muslims. They were laughing when one of them said men can't prayer 5 times a day and yet they want 7 wives.

I was curious to see how much time 5 prayers a day would take so I followed the prayer protocol carefully, other than I spoke English not Arabic.

I was surprised it only took me 10 minutes total. Before I tried I had thought it would have taken me 3 or 4 hours a day.

lots of teens here do not pray at all, you might get some bad looks from religious and people and family but not that much.

it used to take me 20 minutes, you need to do 2 rak'a before every prayer if you're in the mosque

Interesting, thanks for the info. There's a Church (Christian) near to where I live but it's mostly dead in terms of worship, a handful of old people and that's it. It probably pays its bills via weddings and funerals these days, even the trend of Christening babies has fallen by the wayside and that was a popular event in the 90s.

it used to take me 20 minutes, you need to do 2 rak'a before every prayer if you're in the mosque

I repeated the rak'ahs to match the times. I did them quick though. Thanks for the reply.

I read Wikihow and Wikepedia. I only followed the mandatory parts. I did speak fast, yes, and spoke during some of the movement which is allowed, from what I read.

10 min every day is still very good discipline.
