I don't mean that your appearance and how your treated because of it throughout your life shapes your personality. Rather, imagine you take a Truecel and give him the body and appearance of a Chad. From the outside perspective, wouldn't his personality be 90% the same as the Chad's?

Or take anyone anyone and put someone else in their body, wouldn't their personality remain 90% the same from outside perspective?

If the trucel is thrown into a extremely good looking man's body, he'd be seen as cute nervous guy with odd but charming hobbies. It's not that his personality would be seen as similar as a Chad but his actions and original personality would be halo'd by the fact he is good looking.

Ugly loser with weird geeky hobbies = Nerdy hot guy with things he's passionate about
Redpiller gymrat seen as weird cold approaching girls = Confident guy with an amazing body who's interested in you

There might be a point where some girls would still be weirded out by that trucel compared to a full-bone chad ig, just depends on the individual; even then you can practically find anyone who'd like you no matter the personality. Especially with how this is basically a """femcel""" wet dream.

I guess in terms of in general, appearance in a way does have a major effect on your perceivable personality, even if normies don't really want to admit it. I wouldn't say 90%, but people fill in certain things just based on physical appearance, stature, etc. Normal function for creatures to try to ascertain key characteristics from appearance, as typically it is somewhat accurate in terms of nature and our ancestry; it's how modern creatures survived!

It seems odd to equate the perception of personality with personality itself; even then, their perceived personality would be their original personality with the halo/horn effect added on, so it wouldn't seem the same unless they had the same internal personality to begin with.

I've seen this first hand. The biggest slayer I've ever known was a turbo pretty boy who was socially awkward as fuck. Nerdy, deviant interests and possibly on the spectrum.

But most Chads I've known were just boring and bland. Most weren't interesting in any way and NONE of them were funny. It's like they were all drifting through life, coasting on the halo effect. A lot of them are high IQ but at the same time they don't seem to think about anything too much, probably because they never had to. Everything just works out for them, so there's not much need to think about anything too deeply. Things like introspection and philosophizing are clearly not Chad traits.
