It's often said that european colonization brought racism to the world, but native cultures themselves were colorist before the contact:

  • Southern asian caste systems put darker people in the bottom and fair skinned at the top.
  • Light skin is highly valued in China, Korea, Japan and also in southeast asia for centuries or perhaps millennia.
  • Arabs already treated black people as slaves way before the Portuguese and other europeans.
  • Generally speaking, native americans voluntarily allied to the Spanish and acknowledged them as their masters as soon as they first saw them.
  • Even europeans themselves thought of pale skin as a higher-class trait, darker skin as low class. The tanned skin associated with rich who afforded to travel is only a recent phenomenon.
For colorism to be present worldwide independently in all continents, and watching those experiments with babies liking more light-skinned dolls, maybe colorism is ingrained in our DNA? There's an evolutionary advantage to prefer white skin with origins predating human civilization itself? Why would that be the case?

idk, i think alot of cultures saw it as better was because it meant you werent working outside. so it was a symbol of wealth

Only way to destroy colorism is to destroy and light skinned people or find a way to naturally induce vitiligo.

White skin is simply more aesthetically pleasing than dark skin due to its relative rarity on the global scale. It’s not very complicated.

Every BLACK ASS in the world, including myself wants to be WHITE.

Screw race stuff. Lesbians are the real menace to society.

Tamils used to worship dark skin and dye their skin black with sesame seed oil in the past. So I think it's more of conditioning

European accounts of India around 1400-1500:

The seaports of Cheen and Machin are also large. Porcelain is made there, and sold by the weight and at a low price. Women sleep with their husbands in the day, but at night they go to the foreign men and sleep with them and pay for it, besides waiting on them with sweetmeats and supplying them with food and drink, that the foreigners may love them, because they like strangers and white people, their own men being so very black. And when a woman conceives a child by a stranger, the husband pays him a salary. If the child is born white, the stranger receives a duty of eighteen tenkas; if it is born black he gets nothing, but is welcome to what he ate and drank.

Absolutely brootal

White skin is superior
Black and brown is associated with poop and poverty

This is the book with some citations which may help. I don't have time to go through it but you can find the passage in there (page 13): https://www.yorku.ca/inpar/nikitin_wielhorsky.pdf

I just recall going through it and concluding it was Sri Lanka, but I can't remember where I found this out.
Above paragraph says this, and Pegu is in fucking Myanmar :feelstastyman::feelstastyman:
Pegu is no inconsiderable port, principally inhabited by Indian dervishes. The products derived from thence are manik, iakhut, kyrpuk, which are sold by the dervishes.

I ask you again where TF was this "Cheen and Machin" in India? Just defend your claim here

Dark skin reminds people of feces.

Chin and Machin apparently refers to North China and South China.
As for South China, Rashīd al-Dīn used several appellations such as “Māchīn,” “Manzī,” and“Nangiyās.” He explained many times that thesethree appellations all stood for the same region:

As for “Chīn,” it was another ancient name wellknown to Muslims and was still used by Rashīd alDīn in two ways. The first way was the same as howMuslim geographers (such as Kāshgharī) beforethe 13th century used it, thinking that “Chīn” wasequivalent to Khitāy, that is North China. In hisbook, Rashīd al-Dīn explained the origins of“Chīn” and “Māchīn,” believing they both camefrom India:In the language of India and Kashmir thatprovince (Qarajang) is called Kandar, theprovince of Cathay is Chin, and the provinceof Machin is Mahachin (Mahāchīn), meaning“big Chin.” Since our realm is near India andthere is much commercial traffic, in theserealms those areas are also called Chin andMachin in the idiom of the people of India, butthe origin of the word is Mahachin.61
