Due to the RAM crisis, i had to settle down :foidSoy: with 2x16 DDR5 4800mhz instead of 6000mhz. Would there be a signifcant performance difference or would it noticably speed up booting Windows or other programms or is what i have enough ? I mainly use my PC to play vidya

2 frames at max.

Not anymore. You're fucked if you didn't upgrade before.

You can look at benchmarks, but I think it's a combination of RAM speed, latency, and the memory clock of the CPU (if it's AMD). It also differs on a game-by-game basis.

You can try overclocking your RAM, but it's pretty advanced, so I wouldn't recommend it if you haven't overclocked anything before.

You're fine with 32gb for next few years if not longer, it's the speed that is slow but nothing you can do with current prices, just stick with it.

Most likely there are some budget ram chips that won't allow much of overclocking.

Most 64B rams are like $400 :feelsUnreal::feelsUnreal:

You may be able to tighten the timings a bit which should help just a little. Buildzoid's channel is pretty good for all that.

It depends on which manufacturer made the dies of the RAM too, like you said.

i doubt youll notice a difference

No, not much. Higher RAM kits are only worth it if you're really into overclocking as a hobby.

Warning before you get into crazy shit like Buildzoid, prepare to know how to use your BIOS and how to troubleshoot everything. Also probably should have backup parts incase everything breaks.

Absolutely, RAM overclocking is part luck and part black magic. If you go this route be prepared to do a LOT of research.

Waste of money. I'm still on ddr4 3200mhz

RAM speed can actually bottleneck your CPU a fair bit, I believe. I remember I got a pretty substantial FPS boost (10-15fps) in certain games (Helldivers 2 and Rust) after enabling XMP profile.
