Just curious. I have it and don't know if it can be fixed without medications.

There is no such thing as "social anxiety".

Elaborate. My brain literally freezes up when trying to talk to people real life. It makes me not able to think of anything to say.

caused by multiple instances of people telling you to shut the fuck up or negative ramifications from trying to socalize in general so your mind just internalizes those experiences. an easy fix is exposure therapy.

It's called fear, it's a natural reaction to potentially hurtful events. When you are not a chad almost any social situation is hurtful, so you develop a fear of them. Is there anything about this that is unclear?

Makes a lot of sense because that's exactly what my childhood was like. Multiple instances of being bullied for daring to try to speak to people or express my thoughts. Fuck exposure therapy though. I'm not talking to random fags.

Yeah that makes sense. Thought you were saying what I'm experiencing doesn't exist.

probably a good idea considering youre on here so youre probably socially retarded.

You are experiencing fear. Not whatever made up shit you think you experience.
I agree. I don't like all these made up labels that just over complicate things for no reason either.

My social anxiety likely came from my step father being overly strict on me which boosted my inceldom further like I am literally so fucking terrified of making even a microscopic level mistake.

Probably not, and even le Redditors admit that it's not fully curable, but can only be 'managed'. Their bits of advice are shitty and mostly limited to saying to start thinking positively or thinking about others and stop focusing on yourself.

The thing that helps me is the beta-blocker propranolol (10 mg to 30 mg) for somatic symptoms of stress (you will still feel a little bit anxious, but you will stop shaking and sweating) and, to a certain degree, phenibut - the GABAB receptor agonist. The effective dose may vary.

I was beaten up by a group of people, I guess it's trauma for me then.

When it comes to whether it's genetic or not, I think it's both. A primary psychopath, for example, cannot experience social anxiety even after seemingly traumatic experiences in childhood due to the atypical structure of the amygdala. In our cases, neuroticism and co-occurring anxieties are an adaptation to low status, or in certain cases, the shields that protect us from overexposing our autistic traits when interacting with normies.

Both.

We start of with bad shitty genetics making us prone to it and the suffering we receive in life just enhances and enables it.

For some people it's genetic, for some people it's trauma and for others it's both.

Everybody in my family has anxiety, there's definitely some genetics involved.

Growing up I was very outgoing but when my teen years hit I became awkward and stayed in my room.
