Thinking of playing the original trilogy and nes games and then maybe early X games if I enjoy myself. Is it worth playing? (Not interested in battle network or any spinoffs.)

Same but I've already beaten most of those so I'm looking for something new.

The megman games are hard I like the x series better because you can dash and not slide plus you can play zero in x4 and up

I like hard games. I'll play this X games too tho.

Definitevely worth playing. They are a real challenge, especially Megaman 1 (No save feature), Megaman & Bass (Cheap enemy placement), Megaman X6 (For the wrong reasons tho), and Megaman X8 (a LOT of spikes).
You may also try the Zero and ZX games, those are imo the hardest Megaman games to date, especially in hard mode where you take double damage, can't increase your health bar, and enemies move a shitton faster.

Sounds like fun. I enjoy hard experiences.

Megan X Command Mission is the only Megaman game worth playing

Definitely, NES ones are pretty hard. Gunvolt games are very good.

Yes, they aged very well. You should also try the Battle Network games, they're pretty comfy.

I played MUGEN as a young child with Megaman.
