Is League of legends addictive like drugs?

Some of the comments I see about League by people who have been playing the game a lot could also be said by drug addicts tbh:
-They recommend people who haven't played League to never do it
-They admit the game isn't fun anymore but still keep playing
-They dedicate it a lot of time everyday as if it was a part time job
-They get extremely angry and upset when losing a game AKA not getting their fix
-Even if the game is free to play eventually they spend lots of money in skins and unlocking characters forever
-If they lose too much they get paranoid and think the game is conspiring against them to make them lose

I remember playing it in 2014 but dropping it after like 8 months because that shit was getting boring and the community sucked. I dunno why people get so hooked on it.
