Is it mostly manlets that do martial arts?

I gave my dad a gift card for thai-boxing lessons for father's day and apparently you're allowed a plus one and he wants me to come. I really don't want to go but I want to make my dad happy. It's a beginner course naturally, but I'm afraid I'll get mogged. I have this idea that manlets are overrepresented in these types of sports. Is that true?
