Venting Is it to much to ask for to get a ”Happy birthday” from atleast your closest friends?

Today is my birthday and the only people who wished my birthday was my family.

I have two close friends and some from my old school which I was cool with but don’t talk to but I don’t expect it from them, but i do expect it from my two close friends I’ve known since the days where I couldn’t walk.

I always remember what date of birthday they have and make sure to congratulate them since it’s considered Nt, I sometime Venmo them money to buy something nice.

I can’t remember the last time I got a ”Happy birthday” text without having to write to my friends on snap for them to see that cake next to my name.

Am I really that insignificant, caging when I see guys my age who seem really boring get posted on peoples story every year

“Happy” birthday

happy birthday, here's my gift to you, you don't have friends, you have acquaintances who talk to you sometimes when its convenient or they want something. That's the lesson I learned some time ago, happy birthday.

Mogs me for having friends ... but happy birthday brocel
Friends by seemingly the loosest definition, based on the fact they don't send him even a birthday message. I think they're just acquaintances.

Thanks, but I guess those close friends I have is unconditional ”love” considering we known eachother since 3 years old, deep down I know we slipped from eachother but still friends.

The other ”friends” I have never text me or seem to be happy to see me if I ever come across them

truth. i dont think friends exist anymore just opportunities to leverage for a benefit. i have nothing to offer so no benefit to leverage and thus no "friends". i fear your fate may be headed in that direction too

anytime, don't let that fact bring you down too much though, its best you realize is sooner rather than later, less energy expended on ungrateful people who don't reciprocate.

I believe they exist for some, but not for us. Not for the underground men, I also doubt they exist in the highest echelons either, I theorize there's a sweet spot to have a friend.

actually a good explanation i agree the upper echelons would also struggle

yes, I haven't got a good reason as to why, I just have a gut feeling and general thoughts I haven't yet collated.
