As a low status male you probably required a lot of constant forced interaction to make friends. At 30 the only place left for that is work, but the older you get the harder it is especially if you never had any friends. You'll find that you really don't have the same typical life experiences to bond over that your coworkers have. You'll be asked what you did for the weekend and the answer is always "nothing".
