Is input lag normal on PCSX2?

I'm playing Tony Hawk with a wired ps5 controller but it doesn't feel right. Is it normal for there to be some input lag or do I need to fix the settings?

Yeah, older consoles had a lot of input delay compared to now.

If its like a second or two of delay then that might be an issue though

the last time i used pcsx2 there was a fuckload of input lag and it was the worst emulator at it, it's been a couple years tho

I've heard that the gamecube emulator is better

i've only used dreamcast and old xbox emulators and they were way better with input lag

I'm playing Shadow Hearts 3 with a wireless controller, and there's no input lag. It would be really noticeable if there was because of the Judgment Ring.

I always get input lag with PCSX2, I bought a modded PS2 to play games on so I didn't have to deal with it.
