Is focusing on career a good idea for those who know it's over?

On all software engineering positions, 99% communications are done over in-house communication system like slack, confluence, jira, git etc. Yes you will have recurrent meeting which is 100% technical. Also there will be company party and shit, and people who will be there are all your known colleagues. I genuinely don't understand what does it mean by "team fit", by team fit they mean how you are technically fit with the project team. If your expertise/interest is image processing and if the team is about network protocols/algorithms, then you won't fit and they won't hire you.

I can confirm this, we use jira/git/jabber at the place I work at, teamwork in software engineering really only means you have properly documented code tbh (and not using git push -f in shared branches ... hope someone gets that joke).

I just don't want to have someone above me. It doesn't matter if he is good or bad. I don't like the thought of someone having the ability to order me around or fire me at his/her will.

I'm for education as well, but the current high school/college education system is very stupid and brainwashing. They're preparing you to be a good sheep for corporations. And the same as having a job, professors can and will shit on you. That's not the real education. You can get educated on the internet without paying a fortune and getting cucked by your liberal professors.

1. Nobody likes it, but you have to realize that he is just there to make sure you are doing you're job and nothing more so as long as you intended to to the job that you are paid to do then you should gave no problems.
2. I agree, schools are just mandatory state run internment camps but alot of what they teach is neutral even though 95% is very impractical but when you hit college or is more practical but all the information has a jew leftist/communist agenda.
