Absolutely 100%. My job is one of the only good things I have going for me. I got a nice enough house, car. I can eat out or go places any time I like. If I want something I just buy it. It takes a lot of pressure off and gives you more freedom.

Well in my field (compsci, software engineering), no one gives a fuck about "team fit", recruitment is done solely on technical knowledge and expertise. Yes, there are always some kind of "presonality tests" but those are mainly done for "sanity check", they just want to check if you are not catatonically schizophrenic.
Yes, what you are saying might be important in other roles like human relations, marketing, customer care etc. I strongly recommend all incels to build their careers in STEM.

I'm career-maxxing insofar as I am money-maxxing / overtime-maxxing. I've always had an innate talent with computers so I'm naturally good at my job (programming) and can work as many hours as I want overtime. This lends itself to pleasure-maxxing with food, drink and vacations.

Mhm, maybe it's only true for top companies then. They can be choosy since everyone wants to work for them, and would rather get a good team fit with decent skills, than someone who's very skillful but won't integrate into the team that well.
On all software engineering positions, 99% communications are done over in-house communication system like slack, confluence, jira, git etc. Yes you will have recurrent meeting which is 100% technical. Also there will be company party and shit, and people who will be there are all your known colleagues. I genuinely don't understand what does it mean by "team fit", by team fit they mean how you are technically fit with the project team. If your expertise/interest is image processing and if the team is about network protocols/algorithms, then you won't fit and they won't hire you.
