I don’t think occasional casual sex is particularly harmful for an individual Chad. But when it comes to civilization as a whole, unrestricted sexual freedom is absolutely destructive. No society can thrive in the long run when instant gratification becomes the norm and sexual discipline is abandoned.
I recently came across an article about the sexual customs of Slavs (
https://m.joemonster.org/art/28469 ). It was basically constant orgies and total sexual freedom. The result? Primitive tribes, living in the woods, with no real civilization to speak of.
It wasn’t until Christianity arrived, bringing structure and moral limits, that these subhumans started building actual states, social order, and culture. And that’s no coincidence.
On an individual level, delayed gratification is a guaranteed path to success. On a civilizational level, it’s the key to building lasting societies. No culture in history ever achieved anything meaningful while drowning in hedonism. Sexuality must be subordinated to higher goals. Sublimating instinct is the foundation of any durable civilization (Freud).
Civilizations are built by people who know how to control themselves. Not by those who chase instant pleasure. And I think that's the point tradcons are making.
