Cult, cult, cult. XD

Like... I think woke people are in one, I spoke to a leftie fellow recently and he thought I was in one for being right-wing.

It's odd, right? How common this view is now, apparently from both sides.

The left is in fact in a cult. Dogmatism on the left is far, far more common occurrence than on the right. People who question their dogmas, or deny them by the implications of their statements, are silenced and ostracized. The only comparative behavior on the right I can think of is being somewhat rude to their political opponents. They believe their ideology to be the objective truth, both factually and morally. They believe their sources of authority without question, and everything and everybody who doesnt fit into the narrative is discarded as some sort of evil, similarly to what the christians do regarding the devil.

It doesn't even take two people for a cult to form. A cult = any opinion from a person/group that is not objective reality; to live in society, everyone will have their own personal moral system/rules to follow; that's why personal opinions are not objective, because morality itself is not objective.. Every group of people will have some degree of cult structure, and therefore the word cult doesn't mean anything. It's like some people accusing others of narcissism; you know, everyone is narcissistic at some point to some degree.

You have to admit though that modern music is generally speaking very poor. I've stopped looking for new stuff completely at this point.

Or at least, I had done. I might start browsing on places where smaller, probably unsigned bands might share songs, like youtube.

Even the fact that a modern artist thinks that Cult Member is a good name doesn't fill me with confidence about them. lol

I know what you mean. It's amazing how they do it.

They often have this kind of "conditional kindness" I think the term is, where if you're in their "cult" then they are super nice to you like family, but if you veer away even a bit, they are really cruel and it's like they've totally dehumanised you in their minds.

The right seem to mostly just think the left is a bit dumb, but yeah the left tend to think the right is evil.
